My page is in 5th page and for past 3months im trying to get in 1st pg… by making use of socila bookmarking n directory n blog submission. But i can’t achieve it.. Could any one help me out?

We have three different websites. All of them have their main domain name and then multiple other domain names that also point to them. We want to get a web host that we can have all the sites on one account with multiple paths. (Different folders, and each folder is a different domain name.) Does anyone know how this effects search engines? Is it good or bad – or does it even matter at all?

Most of my sites have been around for at least 4 years. The industry/my field is extremely competitive with some really big players who have lots of $$ to spend on sponsored linking, etc. Needless to day, I’m one of the "little guys" battling against the tide …

Until recently, my sites were PR 2/3 or 3/4 … then they went to 1/2 or 2/3 …

Over the past few months I’ve been upgrading/redoing my websites, and completed the last one about two months ago.

Could my new design (which is not that different from the original, just cleaner code-wise) have caused this drop in PR?

I hope someone has some ideas.
